Yoga therapy works with selected techniques that are combined to generate exceptional healing powers. Yoga therapy helps to prevent problems from developing, while also helping to provide relief from already existing discomfort and pain. It is of special importance for a successful therapy to enable the clients to develop their own self-healing powers.

Through specific exercises clients gain strength, stamina, and improve their physical coordination. Mobility and flexibility are increased. Some exercises activate the metabolism, others have a calming effect on the nervous system and enable a deep, healing sleep. 

Yoga therapy also works on a mental level, producing a broad spectrum of positive, healing effects. It improves the ability to focus, to concentrate, and intensely impacts on how clients deal with stress. It also helps to calm the restless mind ("monkey mind"). 

Finally, yoga therapy embraces the realm of the soul. Experiencing joy and happiness, living in peace with oneself and with others, are all highly important for the healing process. 

 

Tibetan Cranial

Tibetan Cranial® is a manual therapy that originated in the highlands of the Himalaya about 3.000 years ago. It is now practiced in its traditional form in the West. TC practicioners use their fingertips to read hundreds of pulses on the recipient’s head. With these pulses as their guide, practitioners touch specific points on the neck and bones of the skull, including the face, the back of the head, and the palate. In addition to working with the bones of the skull in a unique way, TC has methods for working with imbalances in the neck and jaw not found in any other healing method. Moreover, TC involves working only from the neck up. As the practicioners apply gentle pressure, the pulses shift. The process continues until the pulses reach a place of balance. Each session relies on a clearly defined sequence of therapeutic techniques designed to re-align and restore our innate capacity for self-healing. Recipients report that TC has led to transformation on all levels of their being: physical, mental, and emotional.

TC assists the body in correcting its own imbalances. Because TC aids the recipient’s own healing abilities, the effects of the work can continue to develop even after the session ends.

In my online mentoring sessions I apply techniques from my various trainings. According to the needs of the client I select exercises and practices and put together an individual program. This may range from talk therapy, breathing exercises and meditation as well as therapeutic yoga practices and practical advice for everyday life.
